My Review of “She Loves Me”

I watched this for the first time today and already this musical is one of my favourites, which is why I was shocked when I hadn't heard of it before.

~The Story~

I don't typically like Romantic Comedies but this was an exception, It was incredibly funny but not to the point where it seemed forced.

I loved how all the characters had separate storylines and weren't just there for the main characters to have friends.

The plot itself was a bit unrealistic but most good movies are.

And in the end you're rooting for Georg  and Amalia.

~Songs and the Acting~

Everyone in the musical had brilliant singing voices and the songs were amazing, that would get stuck in your head for days after only seeing it once.

The acting was great and it seemed the characters were real people, I also found the costumes amazing and really reflects the characters.

~The Set~

I absolutely love the set design, it has so many little details, that wasn't necessary but really gives you the feeling it's a real place and that you're in it.

It was really cool how the perfume shop would open and close, it reminded me of a doll house.

I love how it wasn't just narrowed down to two sets, the rooms that weren't used as much (The balcony,The backroom, the hospital room and Amalia's bedroom) were all decorated with such details even though some of them were only used once
