Amanda O'Connell, Dance Teacher, Mayo

Amanda has been Dancing for over 40 years, teaching in South Africa, Ireland and abroad.  Before moving to Ireland, she specialised in competitive Latin-American(Solo), Energy and Classical, as well as teaching International and Social Syllabus Latin and Ballroom. (Couple's Dancing) Growing up, Amanda studied Music, Singing, Ballet, Modern, Tap and Spanish Dancing, and took part in numerous shows and musicals.  She has a passion for the stage and loves performing as well as creating Choreography/Stage Direction for shows and functions and has choreographed numerous theatre productions. Amanda is also trained in Piano and Singing through Trinity College,  and holds a Singing Performer's Certificate. A typical week of teaching for Amanda includes Wedding Couples, fun Dance classes to all ages, Piano Lessons, Line Dancing, Choreography for Gymnasts,  Dance Fitness classes, and now Musical Theatre.  Amanda says "I am very excited to share my passion for dance and performance with the students of StageSchool Ireland.  Looking forward to a brand new chapter!."
