Drama Spring Term update on creativity from StageSchool Ireland!

Centres on mid-term break apart from Ennis! which take it on St Patricks Day as it lands on a Friday! So with packed classes last night, it gave us a chance to create a special drama feature with a little help as always.. from our wonderful colleague, drama teacher and educator, Claudia O'Sullivan.

"Spring term is always my favourite of the year so we are given a theme that challenges not only our students but ourselves as teachers and this term its Story with a Songbook! Rebecca, Caoileann and I came up with 3 different themes for each stage.

Fighting Fears for Stage 1, Pressure for Stage 2 and Finding Yourself for Stage 3" she explained

"In Drama, each stage worked together as a group to brainstorm and create what those themes meant to us. We then explored characters, storylines and improvisation to expand. The scripts we have now created all came from the minds of our amazing students. These scripts are full of their own stories and makes them extra special for the students to perform"

Every Friday evening the atmosphere in the Drama room is electric and down to the students enthusiasm and love of storytelling. As Walt Disney famously said

"If you can dream it, you can do it."
