We are delighted to partner with the fantastic RTE Jr Radio for an exciting, creative Spring term challenge for our students to keep their weekends special and ensure “No Lockdown on Creativity”

From February to end of March, we will devise, script, rehearse, and live record a series of ten minute original children’s radio plays for an amazing podcast series for parents and wider broadcast. Director, John Lucey said, “We are passionate to keep our students training and creative spirit alive at this tricky time and wanted to start the new year with a covid secure but challenging task to stretch our teachers and students” he continued “ RTE have been wonderfully supportive in lockdown and their output and quality of radio plays is of an incredible standard so we are honoured to partner and create some magical theatre of the skull”

RTÉ Jr Radio is Ireland's first children's orientated radio station with a wide variety of programming from news, poetry, nursery rhymes, storytelling, dramas and more.

So to our students, we quote Freddy Mercury, “ You’ve yet to have your finest hour… Radio!”
